02MUNICHweb4-master675.jpgMartin Samuels writing in his column in the Daily Mail commented on some of the happenings at the Olympics and in a few short sentences has summed up perfectly the attitude to Israel and its athletes by those countries that follow the “religion of peace”……I leave you to make your own judgement on the actions!

The Saudi Arabian judoka, Joud Fahmy, forfeited her first-round match rather than risk facing an Israeli.

And on Friday, defeated Egyptian judoka Islam El Shehaby refused to shake hands or deliver the traditional bow to his opponent, Israel’s Or Sasson, having been warned on social media he would shame his country and religion by doing so.

Antisemitism and the “left”

Given the rise of antisemitism throughout Europe and in particular the despicable uttering of those in the Labour Party and on the “left”  about the “Jewish problem” (where have we heard that before?) I make no apologies for posting the following article from the Jewish Chronicle which seeks to highlight the growing anti-Jewish feeling amongst senior Labour Politicians and many of their “lackeys.”

Last summer, Jeremy Corbyn swept to power in the Labour Party — in spite of his political support for the anti-peace and antisemitic Hamas and Hezbollah. And it did him no damage when it emerged that he had leapt to the defence of Raed Salah, the blood libeller, and Steven Sizer, the 9/11 conspiracist. Tears of emotion as survivor, Mordecai Ronen, 82, returns to the death camp for the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.

Let us also remember the others who suffered at the hands of the SS, namely Gypsies, Gays, Polish and Russian political prisoners.

It would be nice to say that we have learned from what happened at the “death camps” but given recent history, China (cultural revolution), Cambodia (year zero) and the very prescient actions of Islamic thugs in the Middle East and Africa it is difficult to make that statement.
