And no I’m not talking about the special forces. A flatulent dentist was recently struck off the UK Dentists’ Register to protect the public.
The charges against him included breaking wind and belching in front of patients but there were also some serious clinical deficits as well.
The General Dental Council said they had taken into account “his lack of insight”. So unless he appeals from April he will no longer be able to work in the UK as a dentist.
But at least he doesn’t have a criminal record. Recently a bill was passed in Malawi which appeared to outlaw flatulence in public. Justice Minister George Chaponda says the new bill would criminalise flatulence to promote “public decency”. “Just go to the toilet when you feel like farting,” he told local radio.
