Although Finland won 1st place in “best country in the world” category their Nordic neighbours Denmark did come 1st in Wikipedia’s 2006 “satisfaction with life” study which asked people how satisfied they were.
Finland ranked 6th, just ahead of Sweden, and Switzerland came second in both surveys.
The USA came 23rd and we came a measly 41st, behind Germany but ahead of Spain, France, and Italy. As you might have expected the results are related to health, wealth and access to basic education.
On the back of this a Danish company here in the UK has set up a quiz based on how much time you spend working, sleeping, relaxing etc. Go to their site and try the quiz and it will immediately give you a personal satisfaction score.
